LUES: BRRR... IT'S COLD OUTSIDE
This is a friendly reminder to put your child's name in his/her jacket with this cooler weather. Also, remember to check for head lice that may easily transfer from jackets and hats. It's less common for lice to spread through clothing but it's always a good idea to remind your child not to share hats or winter clothing that comes in contact with hair.

We're all in this together!

LUES PROGRESS REPORTS GO HOME NOV. 21, 2024

LUES FAMILY FOCUS: MATH AND SCIENCE AT HOME
Magnet Mania: Gather various objects from around the house and investigate which ones are magnetic. This is a fun way to explore the concepts of attraction and repelling.

Parents are a child's first and most important teacher.

LUES FAMILY FOCUS: MATH AND SCIENCE AT HOME- Science Activities at Home
Volcanoes: Create a volcanic eruption with a simple baking soda and vinegar experiment. Add a little food coloring, and your child will be even more excited! It's an engaging way to learn about chemical reactions.

When parents are involved students thrive!

Connecting home and school makes us a great community of learners.

Our teachers are awesome to the "core"! Thank you Mrs. Stone for providing this apple bar for teachers and staff today. Teachers and staff, thank YOU for your service to the students every day!! Many teachers politely declined their picture being made 😌 #shine #BAD

LUES FAMILY FOCUS: MATH AND SCIENCE AT HOME
Weather Watchers: Keep a weather journal with your child. Record the daily temperature, or graph the rainfall for a month. This can teach your child to predict, compare, and understand patterns around them. It will also help them to plan what to wear each day!

" Effective family engagement is best achieved through a balanced and reciprocal partnership among schools, families and the community." - Michael Haggan
