School Supplies Update for Toombs County Schools:
For the 2023-2024 school year, in an effort to relieve some of the financial hardships on our families and communities, ESSER Funding will be used to purchase general school supplies for all TCS K-12 students.
Parents will be asked to provide only personal items such as bookbags, calculators (high school only), pencil pouches, etc.

Toombs County Schools will be closed on Monday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth. There will be no summer school classes on June 19th. Summer school classes will resume on Tuesday, June 20th.

The Toombs County Boys Basketball Team traveled to Tattnall County June 8 and played in their first action of the summer. The Dogs were 3-0 on the day defeating Tattnall County 45-29, Swainsboro 51-29 and 6A Tift County 60-58 in overtime in the last game of the day.
Coach Jared Goodwin commented on the action, "We got great production from returning players Dom Eason, Mike Polke, Gavin Fletcher, Juju Cutler and Jesus Quintero. We saw a lot of growth and fight from upcoming sophomores Parker Stanley, Quan Monroe and Cornelius Bullard."
Toombs Boys Basketball plays again Tuesday in Vidalia.

The Toombs County golf team competed in the 2023 state championship tournament on 5-22 and 5-23 at Okefenokee Country Club in Waycross. Due to the rain, the 36 hole tournament was shortened to 18 holes over the 2 days. The bulldogs placed 8th in their first state appearance in decades with a score of 364. The team was led by freshman Vick Moore with a score of 89. Team: Vick Moore, Drew Woodruff, Noah Anken, Clay Conner, Aiden Galbreath, Aidan Barton, Coach Matt Helms.
