Lyons Upper Elementary News Dear Lyons Upper Elementary Families, We hope this message finds you well! We wanted to take a moment to share some important announcements and celebrations at our school. PBIS Bingo and Brownies: We will be hosting a PBIS Bingo and Brownies February 9th. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to have fun and showcase their positive behavior. They will have the chance to earn prizes and enjoy delicious brownies. We encourage all students to continue demonstrating exemplary behavior and earn their spot at this exciting event! We would like to inform you that the number one behavior offense at Lyons Upper Elementary is not following directions. We have observed 81 instances of this behavior so far this year- which is not a lot with a school of almost 500 students. But wouldn't it be wonderful if that number was ZERO? It is crucial that our students understand the importance of following directions in all areas of the school, including the classroom, hallway, recess, lunch, bus, and restroom. By doing so, they will be able to participate in all the exciting PBIS Celebrations and field trips. Let's encourage our students to be attentive and respectful listeners! We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the ongoing partnership between our school and your families. Your support plays a vital role in promoting a positive and nurturing learning environment for our students. We are continuously amazed by the dedication and involvement of our Lyons Upper Elementary families. Thank you for everything you do! As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or feedback, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We value your input and are here to support you and your child's education. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation. Sincerely, Rhonda Stone Principal Lyons Upper Elementary
