Toombs County High School is the first in Georgia to offer a Heavy Equipment class. It is a phenomenal innovative program for young men and women who are looking for an alternative “career pathway” within their school. Several students from the Intermediate Heavy Equipment class went on a field trip to view a construction site currently in Partin Park located in Lyons, GA. Local native, Toombs County BOE Chair and Lyons Main Street Board Chair, Clint Williams, took the time to speak directly to the students about the equipment needed and used for land surveys and measuring.
